Fields of stillness
Released: 03/2026
This is my fourth album.
A quiet collection of moments from a period of transformation.
This album wasn’t planned - it was discovered along the way.

Fields of Stillness is an imperfect and experimental collection of spontaneous live recordings, shaped through modular rack synthesis and moments of quiet immersion.

The material was not composed in the traditional sense, but rather discovered - recorded in single takes while following the flow of evolving patches from my modular rack, analog synths, effects and states of mind. These pieces reflect a period of transition, where stillness became not absence, but a field to move within.

The opening track, Stillefeld, is dedicated to Mathias Grassow (1963–2025), whose work has been a deep and lasting influence to me. His approach to ambient and drone music left a permanent mark on the way this music was felt and created.

South Shores stands apart. Recorded around 2015–2016 together with my brother (Atomic), it captures a rare spontaneous session. The harmonic textures emerged from an electric Washburn guitar, where subtle tapping on the headstock generated natural overtones, expanded through reverb. The melodic elements and shifting motion were performed on a digital synthesizer, resulting in a piece that echoes the spirit of classic Fax-era ambient recordings.

A subtle layer connects the entire album. The recording of South Shores carries a residual white noise from the guitar signal chain - an imperfect but character-defining element. Rather than removing it, a similar white noise layer was introduced across the other tracks, shaping a consistent psychoacoustic space and binding the album into a single continuum.
Clouds of Callisto moves slightly outside the core drone palette, leaning toward a more ambient electronica expression. Its inclusion was uncertain at first, but through some lo-fi treatment and reduction, I found its place within the overall atmosphere. Like the rest of the material, it remains a spontaneous modular recording.
All tracks were recorded as a single uninterrupted expression - moments where sound, mood, and intuition aligned without force.
This album is tied to a period of personal change. A realization that not everything needs to be pushed forward - some things need space to unfold. In that space, music became less about construction and more about presence.

The album's character is embedded with deep rhythmic yet uplifting beats, spacious percussion, melodic strings and ground-binding base frequencies to allow the connection to it's pulsing core - earth's engine.
A journey, which is yet accompanied by a fine touch of humility and a variety of magnificent Bulgarian folk singers to empower the imagination of having an epic walk, a multi-sensory 'touch' with the 'pale blue dot'. A walk in a heavenly world... outside.
After two space voyage encyclopediae Desislav's third artwork will explore the being of humanity's dome - Earth.

It took nearly five years since giving life to Anima's Dream as a ground base of my musical journey.
Slowly as I was altering through time, I began to realize, that even though most of the tracks were made independently of one another - they began to actually assemble similar and gradient sense of connection.
From the birth of Star to the very end of cosmos

Deepest gratitudes to all family and friends, whose direct and indirect support throughout the years
had guided me through, as well as the later technical and physical contributors to the design of my studio which became the final frontier of the Evolutionary Voyage album.
